I love fishing the Sturgeon Bay Open with my son Chase. This is a fun event for us! It seems like we always have one bad day and one good. No exception this year. Day one was not good, but day two resulted in one of the heaviest weights of the event. Maybe we'll put together two days one year! These bass weighed in at 26 lbs, and it was a day I'll remember for sure! The cool thing was that a bait that I've been working on with the Berkley team (soon to be introduced) produced 5.7lb and 5.3lb giants on back to back casts! These may be the best family of baits yet! Even cooler still, is sharing the three generations of smiles with my son and grandsons!!!! Thanks Jay Sloan for a wonderful photo.
